if their is any spill over then
the dates of China and India will be same for EB2 in July VB. then the actual spill over will happen in Aug & Sep... assuming the prediction numbers are true.

Doctors have played a pivotal role in the last few days in getting things done for us.
Ethnic diversity is desirable but not always easy to achieve and if the organization can achieve its goals with groups without ethnic diversity, what's the harm? After all, we are here to achieve the goals and diversity is not the only way that can be achieved.
So please be thankful to Doctors of AAPI who have much bigger and powerful organization AAPI - both in terms of money and clout - and have decided to endorse our effort and help us.
I would kindly request folks to be careful when posting comments as we dont want to neglect or even appear to neglect our supporters.
By the way, we have tried to get a couple of best selling authors on the competitiveness topics but we could not get them to come on the advisory board. We did get endorsements from two of them though - Richard Florida and David Heenan.

We will see some kind of RFEs for July-Aug 2007 I-485 filers during Oct-Dec 2008 timeframe when USCIS has ample time in processing the I-485 petitions.
They should assign the GC numbers available for the current fiscal year before Sep30th2008. Based on the various numbers and analyses on the EB-2 India numbers posted by the IV members I'm betting most 2004, 2005 cases should clear out in the next 2 months.
Folks at USCIS "cleared out" something like 50k visa numbers last June precipitating the July 07 visa bulletin fiasco.
I'm also skeptical about the claim of some members that EB-2 India numbers will retrogess severely in October 2008. The cut off date may move backwards or forwards a little bit, unlikley to have severe retrogression.

Last time around exactly the same time in 2006 CIR took off like crazy because of the tremendous backing of Senate Judiciary committee chairman Arlen Specter and Senate majority Leader Bill Frist (who actually gave a deadline for a the bill to be introduced to the senate floor, to speed it up) and president bush supporting it as well. In spite of all these it took the senate from Feb-march 2006 to around September 2006 to get it passed.
Now to the present situation, Harry Reid, the current majority leader never ever publicly spoke one good word about CIR, the present senate judiciary committee chairman, Patrick J. Leahy has not displayed even 1/100 the urgency nor the interest in CIR that Arlon Specter displayed, president Bush though still supporting CIR is a wounded president licking his wounds and has truly become a lame duck president (most unfortunately for us).
Having considered the above facts what are the chances of CIR happening? Its very painful to say that but I think very low. Even by a miracle (a very big miracle at that) if something happens it will be November or December 2007 before it passes.
As if this not painful enough there is a 60 day waiting period from the day the president signs it before it becomes a law. I think there is some confusion on this 60 day period (I am not 100% sure on this). In addition to it if I remember correctly there was a strange condition which was something like there would be a 6 month investigation period to determine the effects of CIR before becoming a law. If you add all this nonsense up I think in the best case scenario January or February 2008 before CIR becomes law and worst case scenario July or August 2008 to become a law. just my 2 cents. I can only pray and hope I am wrong.
Bills almost never go to the floor directly. Especially something as huge as CIR. It will go thru committee again and it will go thru normal rounds of debate and amendments between the 18 people in Judiciary committee.
Its very unusual for a bill to hit the floor directly without going thru the committee that has jurisdiction over it. If it happens all the time, then the committees would be meaningless. The whole point of having a committee is to be able to either kill the entire bill, or a congressional appointment before such a bill / confirmation is debated by all 100 senators. Same thing in the House.
If it was possible to bypass committees, then people would have floored the SKIL or other bills directly on the floor of the house, therby bypassing Jim Sensenbrenner and his Judiciary committee last year.

You will get a letter in mail and then you should get all the documents listed there.............Also some of the items listed will make no sense to you as yours in Employment based GC and the letter is a standard letter which USCIS uses for family based gc also.....
It will also have one point that bring documents if you were arrested, convicted etc........dont get scared if you never got in trouble....
Prepare for the interview....read your job description which was used for LC and you should know if word by word as that was 1 question officer had asked me and I could answer it very well but was surprised that I was asked a question related to what technology I work and what are my job duties......
Good Luck. Everything will be fine and it will take 30-40 min max. :)

3. Provide simple letter from employer with an affidavit or something stating that the new job is same / similar as the old job.
Sorry for a long post and thanks for any suggestions.
Simple employment letter with details of job title, salary, and job duties should be enough to demonstrate that new job is in same/similar classification as your labor/I-140. The letter must indicate that job is permanent and full-time.
Do you have employment offer letter? That letter should also list job title, and duties.

I think you make some very good point about funding. I see some people complaining how a lot of members aren't contributing. I think it is plain naive to expect everyone to contribute.
People can be divided into three types:
1. People willing to fight what they percieve as injustice.
2. People who complain but do nothing about what they think is unjust.
3. People who accept injustice as part of life.
This isn't just about immigration. It could be any issue. Most ppl want someone else to do what's needed. They don't want to spend time or money. There will always be a few ppl who are active. If you belong to category 1, don't expect everyone to belong there.
The other aspect IV should consider is broadening the goals. IV has done good work but the core focus seems to be retrogression. Tens of thousands of ppl have cases rotting in BEC for 3-5 years they are not going to contribute to an organization that will put them at par with ppl who filed for labor in the last couple of years. It goes against human psychology.
Just my 2 cents....
--for you only.please read below the reply posted by fellow member franklin--
First off - I have contributed, but here is an explanation of my initial reluctance to do so and possibly why I haven't contributed more than I have, since you asked.
I have often been offended by the tone and bias on this board, when it is plainly evident that the majority of power posters think their own situation as being the only thing that should be resolved, alienating others as a result.
Don't tell me to donate by spending less money on stuff that culturally I never do, or refer to people that I know little about - all for cultural reasons. It was this thread that spurred me to contribute, and ironically, this thread that also offended me first. I still haven't forgotten that.
Wonder how else you alienate people? Try posting in a language that isn't English.
Regarding the recent pledge drive in particular, it gives me a nasty taste in my mouth since it stings of hypocrisy that I can't get over. A similar one was attempted by a member here (which I signed up for), using the ""I will donate $10 monthly to Immigration Voice for one year but only if 1,000 other people will do the same."
That effort, although endorsed by the core group, got 88 people to vote, and was criticized in these very forums as being a waste of time, or not the proper way to do it. Of course, fast forward a few months and now look...
I also find it distasteful to have to read through threads that could be of some importance or value, but find that good chunks are just "Hey, look at me, look at how much I contributed"
So, since I'm all bitter and alienated , why did I actually contribute?
Every time I get annoyed or offended by someone's insensitive or cultural narrow mindedness, I try to ignore it and remind myself that that single person does not represent the values of the core group and this organization as a whole. It gets challenging.
Please don't flame me, I am trying to be honest

Yes Years 2001-2002 Were Worst years i have seen.
From 2003 Market is picked up very well.
Lets see what is in store for us in 2008.
According to OH Law:
In the election year, pro-immigration political platform constitutes a political liability as witnessed in the current national presidential debates, which turns the country into a strong anti-immigration environment. Consequently, the immigrants will continuously suffer from the seriously broken immigration system. Under the circumstances, people seek the administrative solutions and relief by the immigration-related agencies. However, the hostile political environment tends to work against such decisions for the government agencies as any pro-immigration administration policy may be considered a political liability for the ruling party. It is indeed a difficult time for immigrants. The USCIS has announced that it was working on issuing a multi-year single document for employment authorization and advance parole, but it is considered not necessarily for the immigrants, but as we discussed earlier, it was a calculated decision for the government finance. The current leadership of the immigration-related government agencies are lame-ducks and immigrants may not be able to expect too much any pro-immigrant moves at the administration-level because of the political pressure from the ruling party.
What is coming ahead? Economic recession and potential massive layoffs and lack of job opportunities for foreign workers. The changing landscape for the employment cannot come in any worse time when the immigrant visa numbers are heavily oversubscribed and clogged, forcing the foreign workers to take a long journey in the hostile employment environment. As the situation moves into steeper economic recession, the foreign workers tend to face not only a risk of layoff but also abuse by some employers who attemp to take advantage of the harsh environment against the foreign worker job markets. These foreign workers should prepare themselves for a difficult time ahead.
For those who are in 485 track, management of AC 21 portability will turn out to be a saviror and constitute an important task. Less fortunate are those who suffer from the visa number rectrogress and are unable to even file I-485 applications. For these immigrant workers, loss of jobs will practically wipe out the immigration opportunity. The longer the visa retrogression period lasts, the harshier their journeys will be. What about those new foreign workers who have yet to look for a job and start the immigration journey from the scratch?
Under the circumstances, all one can hope for is a short-lived economic recession and a turn-around of the country's political landscape in favor of immigration.
Year 2008 may be recorded one of the harshiest years for foreign workers. Immigrant workers, be prepared!

No LUD Update (NSC) for the last 2 days after FP. But EAD card has been ordered. Its very difficult to predict how they operate.
Yep. I agree. For me and my wife, I saw LUDs the next day of finger printing. Don't know what this is. I don't know why the hell in the world they cannot post this information on their web site. Of course it can be confidential information, but they can create a system with very good authentication for that. May be they just don't want to share information?

I think the Kodak has alot more problems than just AA problems!!!
And any time a product drops by 50% in 1 year its normally not a good sign
Scott
I played around with the 14n at Adorama. Also I have been at DPR Kodak forum gathering user experiences. For its price, its a great camera for its targeted purpose.
There are two problems for me. There can be major magenta fringing at back-lighting and low light conditions (What will happen for shooting one hour before sun rise and after sun set?). You must shoot raw and do significant digital dark room work.
Complaint: Even the D70 has spot metering, 1/500 x-synch, 30 - 1 / 8000. Cmon, Canon, at least put the d*mn spot-metering on the 10D-II (if not 12mp, FF, ... for $999.00)

Friends,
One approach I can think is to meet officials and explain them to automatically disable the employers from doing so...An approved 140 should not be allowed to cancel, once 485 is filed and 180 days passed. This will stop the wastage of resources and help to improve efficiency for CIS. Is there a chance we can convince this??? more on the side of administrative fix???
How about making an official AC21 form (like we've AR11 for address change)? CIS can charge a small fees to file for AC21, it will guarantee candidates that their AC21 application has reached to CIS.
Thoughts?
Employer has to show that he can support all the employees that have an 140 pending. It cannot be attributed to being sadistic alone.
However, having an official AC21 process would be good.
